ACTING Classes at StarStruck prepare students for future work in the performing arts as well as imbue them with essential skills that will help children in any career or life path that they may choose. We focus on building confidence and self esteem, getting rid of the fear of public speaking, instilling a work ethic and providing an opportunity to learn to work effectively with all different types of people. Students who study acting grow both academically and socially. They are better prepared to meet the challenges of higher education and the work environment. Our curriculum is grounded in improvisational games and exercises, with work on scene study and monologues as they advance to higher levels. Students will learn how to prepare for auditions and performances, be more comfortable in front of groups of people, more mentally focused and more attuned to the world around them. Students will learn how to analyze material in preparation for performance and use their analyses to create full and dynamic characters. Students will be well-versed in theater terminology.
